I cannot recommend this agency for border transfers from Flores to Palenque.

Before buying my ticket, I specifically asked several times why other agencies do not travel this route on Mondays. I was told that the previous problem with the bank at the border had been solved and that there would be no issue entering Mexico normally.

However, when I arrived at the border, immigration informed me that on Mondays only a 6-day permit can be issued because the bank is closed. As a result, I could not receive the normal visa for a longer stay in Mexico.

Because of the incorrect information provided by the agency, I had to stay overnight in Tenosique, pay additional transportation costs, and return to the border the next day to repeat the immigration process and re-enter Mexico.

What disappointed me most was that later the agency admitted they already knew the bank is closed on Mondays.

I understand that immigration rules are not the responsibility of the transport company. But giving travelers incorrect or misleading information before selling tickets is very unprofessional and caused unnecessary stress, delays, and extra costs.

The amount of stress and uncertainty this situation caused me is honestly impossible to describe.

Many thanks to Gateway Flores. We lost our cell phone on a bus and they kept it safe at their agency until we could get it back. The sunrise tour in Tikal is a must-do.

I booked a shuttle to Rio Dulce for 6 a.m., but I overslept and missed it. I went to the office later and got a bus for 8:30 a.m., only having to pay a small extra fee. Charles even drove me to the bus station on his motorbike. He's the best guy. I highly recommend Getaway Travels; they're very helpful people. 🤝

Did the sunrise Tikal excursion with them. The guide was great but they use buses without AC at 40 degrees

We went to Tikal with tourguide Lloyd. He was very knowledgeable. It was a good day!! :)
