Mobile signals do not work properly in this area, so it’s highly recommended to carry an Scom SIM, which works best in this region. After the jeep ride, there is a 4–5 hour hiking trek to Fairy Meadows. If you are a good athlete or physically fit, the trek is manageable, but it can be challenging for beginners.
Once you reach Fairy Meadows, the beauty is beyond words. Lush green meadows, towering pine trees, fresh mountain air, and peaceful surroundings give a heavenly feeling. It feels like you are standing at the gateway to Nanga Parbat, the mighty “Killer Mountain,” offering stunning and unforgettable views.
There are several hotels and wooden huts available for overnight stays, ranging from basic to relatively comfortable. However, food is quite expensive, so it’s a smart idea to carry your own snacks and essentials to save cost. Weather can change suddenly, so rain protection like a raincoat or poncho is a must.
Overall, Fairy Meadows is a magical destination that demands effort, patience, and courage—but the reward is unmatched natural beauty and serenity. It’s a must-visit place at least once in a lifetime for anyone who loves mountains, adventure, and raw nature.

It's just beyond impressive to stand in front of Nanga Parbat, in the middle of this breathtaking landscape.
I was just quiet a bit sad how many guesthouses and lodges they're already building here, doesn´t seem as natural and peaceful anymore as it once must have been.
